美国车手Jason DiSalvo 驾驶着最新设计的凯旋-嘉实多火箭(Triumph Castol Rocket),在美国邦纳维尔盐滩完成了第一次实验性的试驾,以图实现400 mph (约为643.74 km/h)的最高速度。
虽然在这个初次的实验性测试中,很遗憾未能如愿以偿地创造新的陆地最快速度,但这台长达25英尺(7.62米),安装了双涡轮增压引擎、排量高达3,000cc(由两副凯旋火箭3的发动机组合而成,发动机采取并行工作的设计,且是使用乙醇作为燃料)、可提供1,000匹的马力、峰值扭矩500磅的野兽级速度机器,将继续进行深入改进,并会在随后9月7号到10号的正式测试中,挑战目前同类机器的世界最快陆地速度:376.156 mph(约为605.36 km/h)。下图,是来自其官方网站的图片。
